An extremely rare Bow shell pickle stand



the large stand in the white with four tiers of shells fitted on a shell encrusted central column and supported by smaller encrusted columns between the second and third tiers, all sitting on a bed of moulded shells, coral and seaweed.

This magnificent piece is a rare surviver of the Bow factory and must have been incredibly difficult to make. It demonstrates the skill and quality in making and assembling these moulded components of which there are several hundred.
