Rare pair of Caughley porcelain covered dessert tureens with stands and ladles.
Finely gilded, perhaps by Chamberlain.

Provenance: Earl Spencer, probably acquired by either Georgiana, Countess Spencer (1737-1814) or Fredrick, 4th Earl Spencer, either for Spencer House, London. Removed from 28 St. James's Place, London to Althorp, Northamptonshire, in 1923 by Albert Edward John, 7th Earl Spencer (1892-1975).
