Rare Lowestoft `Trifle` inkwell
of slightly waisted circular form. The shoulders pieced with four circular holes for quills, the central well with averted rim. Inscribed 'A Trifle from LOWESTOFT' within a puce scroll cartouche with scattered cornflower sprigs probably painted by Robert Allen.
