Rare Derby porcelain butter tub
painted with Chinese figures pointing to a vase, end and corner panels painted with flowers and precious objects.

Very rare large Derby porcelain heptagonal bowl
painted in the Kakiemon style with a pheonix pierced on a peony tree with bamboo and chrysanthemum growing from rocks, the reverse with a pheonix in flight.

c.1810-20

It is most unusual to find a piece of English porcelain with seven sides.




Derby porcelain botanical plate
finely painted with convolvulus (from a print by W. Curtis 1792) within a brown and turquoise feather edge rim in the style of Chelsea. Attributed to William Billingsly

Painted in enamel colours with birds in a grassy landscape. The reverse painted with flowers.

with applied rope twist handles with moulded flower and leaf terminals. The exterior moulded with a lattice basket effect with small florets and a rope base picked out in yellow. The interior painted with rustic birds in a landscape and sprays of flowers.

A fine circular Derby porcelain open work basket
of flaring form with applied turquoise rope twist handles with moulded flower and leaf terminals. Painted on the interior with flower sprays in enamel colours, the florets on the outside picked out in yellow.

A large Derby oval basket
with rope twist handles and applied flowers and leaves to terminals. Superbly painted with birds in a wooded landscape within a rococo cartouche, and sprays of finely painted flowers. The exterior is in the form of a woven basket with applied florets picked out in puce and yellow.
