Rare Liverpool William Reid bowl.
Painted in an unusual pallet with a Chinaman pointing at a table with two vases of flowers on a grassy landscape, the interior with a border border design on the rim.

An extremely rare Liverpool, William Reid teapot
‘Pencilled’ in overglaze black enamel with a Chinaman playing a flute and a boy seated near him holding a parasol. Pencilled decoration is rarely found on Liverpool porcelain and only two other pieces with this form of decoration are known, a beaker and a small mug both from the Watney collection.
